What I’ve Been Up To

Anyway, just thought it would be nice to blog about what I’ve been up to for a change instead of the usual one themed post. If you’ve been long enough a reader, you would have noticed that I keep it to one thought per post most of the time and rarely list a compilation of what I’ve been up to.

These past few months have been interesting. I’ve went from unjustifiable mild depressions to sickeningly love spells to being amorously lame! Also, I’ve become unbearably suffocated by the thought of couples so I presently prefer the company of singles over the attached. There have been a few relationship dramas, none of which are mine surprisingly.

Yes I know, I’ve always been one for dramas but with The Boyfriend in Brisbane, it is just no fun picking fights over the phone. There’s an unshakeable paranoia that he’ll run for comfort into another girl’s arms but mostly because I am not there to remind him of his place in mine. And alas, I’m so much in love that I won’t even begin to think of starting a fight!

Anyway, here begins the list of what I’ve been up to lately and not necessarily in a chronological order!

My 22nd birthday was celebrated with Kedung. She turned 21 on the 3rd of February while I on the 2nd. Say a Yay! Oh I broke one new year resolution that night. Guess which one! According to my friends, apparently it is okay to break resolution on special occasions.

Manipulative indeed.

In conjunction with my physical birthday, it was too my spiritual birthday. I had my salvation prayer. Confessing that I was a sinner and accepting Christ as my Saviour was a move I felt I was ready for. It also marked the first time I prayed out loud. I started out shy and afraid but soon a feeling of peace washed over me and it felt as if I was just speaking to Lord Himself. Praise the Lord!

As for the next step, I’m awaiting the arrival of my loved one to witness my baptism. In turn, this gives me more time to study the Bible to learn more about Christ, to be a more mature Christian as I slowly enter the next step.

Moving on, I went to Byron and Karen’s wedding a few weeks ago. I’m sorry if I don’t remember dates, I’m just really bad with numbers and everything on the calendar! Anyway, it was painfully lonely to be at the wedding without The Boyfriend because I know he’d love to be there and also it would just be nice to hold someone’s hand when I was getting all misty-eyed at how romantic everything was!

I mean, a couple is declaring their affection towards each other with the ultimate offering - a lifetime with each other. Or a sacrifice, depending how you look at it. I fell even more in love with The Boyfriend watching this newly married couple laughing! It’s just wonderful to witness an event so romantically sacrilegious.

Anyway, before I scare away The Boyfriend with anymore reference to anything remotely close to a commitment, here are the pictures taken at the wedding!

I’ve discovered that graffiti is best done when drunk and on a permissible property! To whom are curious in regards to my New Year resolution, I was perfectly sober when involved! Oh what a lot of fun!

Oh my goodness! Have you heard? Well, reading Harry Potter will never be the same again! Daniel Radcliffe’s full frontal nudity role in the play Equus took my breath away and not in a decent way too! The innocence of imagining him in the Harry Potter role died away with the last of his happy trail’s trail. Haha. Gay. I meant my joke! Not him!

I’ve never be properly funny if I keep on explaining my jokes! But anyway, here’s one for the rainbow people!

I’m going to try rereading the entire series of Harry Potter before the next book comes out. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows is going to be one of the marked highlights of my year for sure! I can hardly wait! Yes, I’m such a nerd!

No amount of sermons against magic and wizardry is going to tear me away from my Harry Potter fascination! I read Harry Potter, I don’t practice Harry Potter!

People kept telling me “Don’t lose it this time!” Excuse me, I didn’t lose my previous cameras! They were stolen from me! In my house!
