Choice
It’s 2.46 in the morning and I should give myself a slap on the head as I stare at the single pink line on the white strip. I shouldn’t treat my future so lightly. I shouldn’t treat his future so lightly.
Once again many times in our relationship, I said a silent prayer of gratitude for another lesson learnt.
Never miss a day of the pill.
Sometimes in the lifespan of your relationship, you will realise pregnancy is never a far off topic. For some of us, it may be a commitment-related issue you may find yourself too shy and scared to breach and for some of you, you will find yourself demanding to know his choice because his choice reflects his choice of us.
While it is always nice to hear that he is more than willing to keep the baby, it isn’t always the most selfless choice.
Timing is the key to everything. You having the baby now is different than when you have a baby in your thirties and financially stable.
As a pro-choice person, this issue I still find myself struggling with in my journey with God.
EDIT: … I AM NOT PREGNANT.
Please don’t misunderstand my entry.
