KL & Rainforest ‘07
Warning: Pictures heavy post ahead
The holiday to KL was so good.
I can say all the lovey dovey things but I’ll save you guys from further mental nausea. It was firstly, a break from all the madness going on in my family and secondly, to join the rest of my course mates for a media trip around KL. Renee and the girls didn’t get to go so this trip offered a chance to hang out with other people.
I was a true whiner the entire trip. Within the first six hours of landing, I already earned a blistered foot from speed-shopping at KLCC. The next three days earned me another foot of blisters. That made two feet and because I only have two, I gave The Boyfriend literally no break at all from 24/7 whinings and moanings.
I only stopped after he bought me a pair of slippers. Very wise.
Basically my face the whole happy trip…
Chopsticks threat at Sushi Groove. We ordered plenty of food and really liked the environment. The place isn’t very pricey at all and the beef teriyaki with cheese is easily the most addictive thing I’ve eaten all year!
Hehehehe! Was feeling really playful in One U and the naked mannequin was much too fun to resist.
The Boyfriend being cheeky with my new face powder.
The media girls and I posing on one of the talk shows’ set in RTM. Can you guess who’s the host?
At this BBQ Chicken Rice shop next to BB Plaza. The food there is just so good I make it a tradition to go there for my first and last meal every time I’m in KL. I’m really missing the chicken rice. Yummm… *inserts the Homer drool*
Half of the media trip’s participants. You can’t tell but I was really holding back my pained expression. I had about a dozen plasters all around my feet.
See that ad at the bottom of my page? These people made it! Advertlets was one of the places we visited or rather, gatecrashed. Josh had the number of our participants mixed up, thought it was just a few people but turned out there were like twenty of us.
Lionel, me and Iqbal posing as stylishly as we could after being inspired by the Advertlets posters hanging around the office
Here’s the man, Josh Lim.
While waiting for a taxi to go Maison on Saturday night. OMG. Hahahaha it turned out to be a lawyers’ charity event and we totally paid the entrance fee which was like RM30, thinking you know it’s the entrance fee and not some charity thing for a specific group of profession that we would have no way in hell of talking funny with… not on that night anyway.
Later on, we went to meet Joyce aka Kinkybluefairy at Zouk and it turned out to be a whole lot of fun with good Bass Agents music.
We met up at Laundry with Josh and Abel on Thursday night. That was a fun night hanging out with a pretty odd mix of people. There was the photographer Albert from glaringnotebook.com, couple of media mates Stephanie, Iqbal and Lionel and Calvin. Did I forget anyone?
All glitter and happiness with Calvin!
Yeah we wore matching tops. We do like the whole cute couple shit…
I wouldn’t say we used the hotel room to its maximum potential. I still think we could have done more moves.
My very own Tingang’s fan club shirt! I had it embroidered on for only RM8. The shirt itself is from Planet Hollywood.
Rainforest Music Festival was AMAZING!
Two nights under the stars with The Boyfriend and his closest friends. I think I earned their approval. I was nervous about making a good impression but beer made the nerves all better.
Yes, I broke my no-alcohol resolution. La la la la la la…
The crowd on Saturday night filled out to even the walkway and there was barely room to move about. Though if you were already high on alcohol and adrenaline, you wouldn’t care much about bumping into sweaty friends!
Reason #916 I’m in love with this man: He’s never boring when it comes to posing for photos!
With Diana and Apui on Damai beach. Man, the sea was so salty! I reckon people has been spreading some love juice all around…
I think Rainforest may very well be the best nights of my life.
I was so depressed I had to skip the third day I cried to sleep that night. Why you ask, did I have to skip the last day? It’s because I missed a final exam and had to fly back to Miri before Monday to take the supplementary.
So bongok right? The dumbest person alive seriously this…
All his KL and Kuching friends!
No wonder people say they always get depressed after Rainforest is over! Just so much fun! The people and the atmosphere… you can’t really find that anywhere else year after year.
With Joyce. I spotted her hair first. Haha. I know I promised you beer in KL but I hope the tuak was sufficient!
See how red my face is! Hahahahaha and I don’t even like beer!
With Belinda. This girl came out of nowhere and patted me on the back! Hahaha it was so good seeing you again!
Oh man, writing all these makes me miss Rainforest so much. Haiii… I must learn to let go.
Personal Heineken ad.
With The Boyfriend’s girlfriends.
The after party outside one of the chalets. This was the Circle of Death that killed me and The Boyfriend for the rest of the night. We were beyond drunk.
Rainforest Music Festival was so much fun!
Please, if any of you people haven’t been to a Rainforest Music Festival yet, please go next year. I think the date’s already been set on the 10th to 13th July. I know I’ll be going back. I’m making it my annual thing to do.
:)
So, did the rest of you guys have a good summer?
